NEW UNIFORM FAQ

Why are we investigating a potential change of uniform?

Our existing player uniform has been in place for many years and a new look and feel for the club should bring excitement and drive to become a Brumby in our 10th anniversary year as a club, and year on year moving forward. More importantly, we want to look at a move away from white. Whilst the white uniform has been great, we have explored the use of a bold colour against other teams in the BBA, and the new yellow will stand out and be bold in the place of the white. As a result, we believe a fresh, modern, bold look and a move away from white.

When would this uniform change take place?

We are currently going through the motions with a scheduled launch of the Summer 2025/26 season. We have several key aspects of the change to complete ahead of this, but we have a plan. We have also been granted a 1 season exemption with the BBA to allow us any unforeseen issues in the changeover. We will keep you posted as we move through every step of this journey.

What are the processes to implementing a new uniform?

Shortly you will receive the ITP for the Summer 25/26 season and a form to fill out regarding uniform size. We will need these back quickly to keep in line with our rollout.

How much would a uniform change going to cost me?

All current players who are registered will be eligible for a new uniform under the rollout at no cost. Any new or returning from season with other clubs will be required to purchase a new uniform. A new uniform policy will be shared in the coming month of which will discuss how the singlet aspect works for coming seasons post rollout.

I am signing up now as a new player, what should I do?

Fill out the ITP and uniform order sheet and any issues a committee member will contact you directly with an invoice for the new uniform.

I just bought a new uniform last season, what should I do?

We understand that this may be the case for some players and families, however in under our new uniform rollout, we have looked to dramatically reduce the cost of the changeover by making them club owned and distributed to the players. Your jersey is still valid until your team’s jerseys are all ready to be distributed.

All old jerseys given to players through their time as a Brumby will be asked to return these when your new uniform arrives. Any jerseys or shorts purchased through the club are yours to keep and can be used for training etc.

What will we do with all the old uniforms?

Firstly, you can still train and wear your old uniform to trainings and clinics. We are also exploring opportunities to undertake a bulk recycling effort where the jerseys and shorts could potentially be donated to an underprivileged community. Part of the new uniform implementation program will include the responsible management or recycling of old uniforms to avoid them going into landfill.

What if my player number changes?

As part of the new uniform rollout, players who order by the cut off date will get to choose a number if they like. Post the rollout and as the seasons come and go and your child grows, you may require a new singlet.  At that time, you will be given the choice to purchase a new singlet or be given a singlet from the Club stock. This will not guarantee you always keep the same number, unless you purchase a new singlet in the season post the roll out. But for now, you will get a choice in number so long as there are no clashes within the teams.

Unfortunately, we will not be allowing personalised singlets due to our sponsorship commitments.

I am unhappy with these changes, what should I do?

We respect and understand that people can have a differing opinion on aspects of how the club is being managed. The people who make these decisions are equally passionate about our club and make time to be part of these processes. As always, we encourage anyone who is keen to help the club out in any way to reach out and volunteer their time for the upcoming season.
