Welcome to another edition of Hoop Prints and Hoops – your weekly wrap-up of all things Ballan Basketball!
Happy School Holiday edition.
Short one this week to round out the mid-point of season. Well done to all athletes on some fantastic results once again. Some great results in our younger Junior divisions and with all teams in U8's, U10's and U12's all sercuring the wins. Great work from the teams and the coaches who have made a strong start in these divisions and you all should be very proud.
I have to give a huge shout out to the Womens Senior team who turn up each week, work together and have broken the curse to knotch up their first win of the season. Great work ladies!!!!!
For those taking a break or traveling, I hope you're enjoying a change of scenery and some well-deserved rest. Whether you're in the sun or the snow, stay safe and have a great school holiday.
We look forward to seeing everyone back in a couple of weeks, refreshed and ready for the rest of the season.

REMINDERS
FIRST AID COURSE - New Date & Open to the Community
Due to low initial numbers, the First Aid Course has been rescheduled to Sunday, 27th July 2025. To make the most of this valuable opportunity, we’re now opening it up to other local sports clubs and the wider Ballan community. We believe it’s important that our coaches — and anyone working with our players — have basic first aid knowledge.
This course is also open to parents, guardians, and family members who wish to attend.
The Brumbies Committee has organised this course to support our club’s commitment to safety, and we’ll be subsidising the cost for all coaches under 18 years of age.
When: 27th of July 2025
Time: 9:30 to 12:30
Where: Basketball Gym, Ballan Primary School
What: General first aid along with CPR certification

Sunday Scrimmage - On for the Holidays
Our Sunday Scrimmage session for the U14 through to Senior members will be running throughout the holidays from 1pm till 3pm - $5 entry and game. If anyone has a friend who wishes to come, please let James Tamanika know on 0409417581.
